Adepticon 2018 Was Pretty Great

Adepticon!

Brian and I made our way down to Adepticon in Schaumburg Illinois this year. We had a great time and I also managed to shoot a few pictures of various events and things I thought were neat at the convention.  The convention has really grown over the last couple of years into being truly a huge wargaming event, one that I’d have a hard time missing.

Some friends of ours run the Adepticon Titanicus, which is an old Games Workshop game called Adeptus Titanicus, which was a small scale wargame featuring the largest of war machines in the Warhammer 40k universe.  Their version is scaled up to 40k’s 28mm scale, making building 3 feet tall and the titans anywhere from 10 to 24 inches tall and they play on a rather large floor mat.  It’s always fun to check out this game as it’s a labor of love from those guys.

I also took a few shots of the stuff in the Crystal Brush painting competition that really stuck out to me.  As always, everything in this competition is extremely well done by very talented painters, getting a chance to view their work in person is always a highlight for me.

I can’t wait for Adepticon 2019!
